Momo by Michael Ende

This Xmas I've been given a wonderful present: Momo, a book written by Michael Ende.

When I was a child, I enjoyed watchig an old film that explained the story of this little curly-haired girl who loves listening to people and who fights against the Gentlemen in Grey, the stealers of people's time. The story of Momo is a clear reflection of our society of consumerism as it perfectly portraits this will of devoting our lives to work a lot, so as to earn as much money as we can, in order to buy things that we considere will make us happy. But, actually, by doing so we just forget about universal values such as love, friendship, imagination, etc. and we end up neglecting and hurting the people we really love and care about, like, for intance, our children.

When I was younger, I searched for this book everywhere... Yesterday I started reading the story and I searched in Youtube for the trailer of the film in order to include it in this entry. But, what was my surprise when I came across a new version of the story! Here you can watch the tailer of the 2007 remake of the film just clicking on the title of this entry. The Phantom of the Opera movie trailer

As my last entry was about The Phantom of the Opera, I've decided to include a trailer of the 2004 film of the same name by director Joel Schumacher. This is one of my favourite films specially for the movie score, and this is the reason why I've chosen this trailer in particular, because it features some of these songs. Enjoy it!
