In Your Room by Depeche Mode
And here you have one of my favourite songs by Depeche Mode: In Your Room. There are two versons of the same: the one included in the 1992 album Songs of Faith and Devotion and the single version. Both of them are great although these days I enjoy better the first one. I've included a video (click on the title of the entry) with some images taken from the video-single and others from a live performance but featuring the original version of the song. Gosh! Alan Wilder looks amazing with his hear cut short... And I have to congratulate the person who's made this video because he or she has made an excelent job. I'm loving it ;) !
In your room
Where time stands still
Or moves at your will
Will you let the morning come soon
Or will you leave me lying here
In your favourite darkness
Your favourite half-light
Your favourite consciousness
Your favourite slave.
In your room
Where souls disappear
Only you exist here
Will you lead me to your armachair
Or leave me lying here
Your favourite innocence
Your favourite prize
Your favourite smile
Your favourite slave
I'm hanging on your words
living on your breath
feeling with your skin
Will I always be here
In your room
Your burning eyes
Cause flames to arise
Will you let the fire die down soon
Or will I always be here
Your favourite passion
Your favourite game
Your favourite mirror
Your favourite slave
I'm hanging on your words
living on your breath
feeling with your skin
Will I always be here
In your room
Where time stands still
Or moves at your will
Will you let the morning come soon
Or will you leave me lying here
In your favourite darkness
Your favourite half-light
Your favourite consciousness
